I am retired from the work world and do freelance writing. I have served in the armed forces and worked in various industries. I have worked for both political parties and found them both to be lacking. After watching politics for a long time I came to all new conclusions. This is why I got into survivalism and why I am warning people of the politics of this country. I also am tired of people crying the sky is falling. They are actually saying mankind is causing global warming. Therefore I have taken it upon myself to try to disprove the garbage they are putting out.

Planning

Sorry I missed last week, one family member was in serious accident. He is the hospital even now and after four surgeries he still has two or three more to go. I will try to update every week but some articles may be shorter than I normally do.

Planning may be the one most important aspect of survival. First of all to be a survivor and a survivalist, you must have the right attitude. Without the right attitude, you might just as well hang it up and wait for the government to come to your rescue. Unfortunately, I know too many people like that. I hope none of you reading this blog think like that. I once had an accountant that felt that I was not too smart being a survivalist. He stated that if things ever got that bad he would sooner not be alive. When I asked him what he would do if he found himself alive after a major war or major disaster, he said he would wait for the government. When I added the destruction of the government to the equation, he stated that he would look for someone like me to take care of him. I flat out to him that he would not get any help from me because of his attitude and then promptly fired him.

Start planning right now for the scenario that you feel is the most likely to occur. List four or five scenarios and then put them in the order that you feel that they might occur. Many of the things you do to prepare will depend on what you feel is going to happen. For instance, you would not prepare for a natural disaster as you would for a nuclear war. For a natural disaster you would probably not need a gas mask or a radiation detector. For a natural disaster you would probably not need as much ammo as you would for a war.

Here is the way I lay out a plan. I picked four possible scenarios and listed them in their order of probability. Financial crash and depression/civil war/world war/natural disaster. These are the four I picked and the order I see the likelyhood of each happening. As you see I put natural disaster in fourth place. This is because I live in the midwest and we are not as prone to natural disasters as are the people on the coasts. If I were living in a hurricane prone area or an earthquake prone area, I would probably put natural disaster in first or at least second place. The next thing you need to do is to start your survival plan with things that will help in all of the scenarios you have chosen. You may pick only two or three or you may have five or six. However, there are certain items that are necessary for all of them. I will get into that more next week. Until then; SURVIVE.
