I am retired from the work world and do freelance writing. I have served in the armed forces and worked in various industries. I have worked for both political parties and found them both to be lacking. After watching politics for a long time I came to all new conclusions. This is why I got into survivalism and why I am warning people of the politics of this country. I also am tired of people crying the sky is falling. They are actually saying mankind is causing global warming. Therefore I have taken it upon myself to try to disprove the garbage they are putting out.

Is It Time??

As I stated last week, I think the time is coming close. I believe that those who consider themselves survivalists and are ready will make out a lot better than their unprepared neighbors. Speaking of the unprepared, many of them will be looking for handouts from those of us who are prepared. It may sound cruel and un-Christian, but I do not feel that I need help anyone if it takes away from my survival. I will help anyone that wants to help themselves, but will refuse to give handouts to those who have come to depend on them from uncle sucker.

I wrote last week about having guns and ammo and knowing how to use them. I also stated that some of them should be hidden. I feel that many things should be hidden. This includes food, any silver, gold or other valuables that you have. Try to come up with hiding place that are unusual. I have written a book called "Stash it" in which I give many ideas for hiding items. Here are just a couple. Get a second water heater, one that is shot and is junk. Gut the inside of it leaving just the outer shell. Now you have a fairly large storage place in which you can keep guns, valuables, food or whatever you want to hide. The secret to using this is to set it next to your working water heater and hook pipes to it to make it look like it is a backup heater. A by-product of this is that if the tank you took out of the heater does not leak, you can use it for water storage.

Another thing to do for guns is to take an old freezer or even refrigerator and use that. Here again, many people have second freezers or refrigerators in their basement or garage. Fix the inside as a gun cabinet or a storage area, install a ten watt light bulb or a dehumidifier strip and run the plug for that out where the original plug was. Set it where ever you want it and plug it in and it will look natural. Many freezers have locks on them. If the one you are using does not, or if you are using a refrigerator, install a lock. You would be smart to install locks on any freezers or refrigerators that you may have in your basement or garage. People will be just as liable to attempt to steel food as anything. I have used a false wall in a closet and also a false ceiling. These are just a few suggestions to get you thinking. Again, if you would like to purchase my book, leave your email address and I will get back to you.

I have talked about it in other entries, but it probably needs saying again, "Be ready to bug out if necessary". I live in as safe an area as I could find. I live on five acres at the end of a dead end road with only one permanent neighbor visable from my property. I have a railroad for a property line on one side of me so no one can build there. the nearest village has a total of just over eight hundred people. Even with this amount of security, I have a plan for getting out if necessary. I have a fold down camper fully equipped to live in for an extended time that all I need to do is to back my vehicle up to it and hook up. During the summer I keep a full supply of food in it. In the winter we remove the food that will be ruined if frozen. That food is set aside and put back in the spring. We rotate this food with food from the house so that it never gets too old. We keep our bedding there along with emergency radio, first-aid equipment and all other items we feel we would need to live. The power for anything that requires power comes from three twelve volt batteries. I intend to install a solar battery charger on it this summer. Previous to the camper we had a tent and a couple of backpacks full of supplies. Not quite as comfortable by doable.

As I said, now is the time to ready yourself. I will continue writing what I consider pertinent information in each of my entries. PREPARE!!!!
